After almost 20 years as a mostly insurance defense litigation paralegal, Melissa earned her M.A. degree with merit in advertising and public relations in London at Richmond, The American International University in London in late 2019. From 2002 to 2017, Melissa worked for various law firms in both Ft. Lauderdale and Atlanta before moving to London. Most recently, Melissa worked as a Public Relations Coordinator for international law firm Holland & Knight.
In 1993, Melissa earned her B.A. in Mass Communications with a minor in Marketing from the University of West Georgia. She then graduated from the University of Louisville with an associate’s degree in 2003. Melissa passed the National Association of Legal Assistants exam in 2004, becoming a Certified Paralegal (CP®) and eventually acquired the Advanced Certified Paralegal (ACP® ) designation.
Having an analytical and forever-inquisitive mind, Melissa enjoys true crime stories, world travel (where’s the next adventure?) and research. She is always up for a great concert or tribute band and is often found at MadLife Stage and Studios in Woodstock.
